MEET ED

I’m a multi-generational Montanan with deep roots in our state’s natural resource and construction economy going back to the late 1800s.

I previously served as a Montana State Senator, where I was known as a fiscal conservative who challenged wasteful spending and opposed backroom tax deals. I worked to advance conservative reforms even during divided government, because Montanans expect results — not excuses.

Outside the Legislature, I’ve spent my career working in the energy and industrial construction sectors, helping build the infrastructure that powers communities and creates good-paying jobs. That real-world experience gives me a clear understanding of how tax and regulatory decisions made in Helena affect families, workers, renters, and businesses across Montana.

My wife Kathleen and I live in Billings. We have five grown children and are proud grandparents.

GET INVOLVED!

This campaign is built on people who care about Montana’s future.

You can help by:

  • Volunteering

  • Knocking doors

  • Making calls

  • Contributing early

Winning the primary is how we fix what’s broken — and it starts now.

WHY I’M RUNNING

Montana should be a place where families can afford to live, businesses want to invest, and government works for the people — not insiders.

Too often in Helena, decisions are made behind closed doors, bills are rewritten at the last minute, and taxpayers are left holding the bag. Those choices raise rents, increase energy costs, and drive opportunity out of our state.

I’ve served before. I understand the process. And I know that real leadership means standing up — even when it’s uncomfortable — to protect taxpayers and uphold conservative principles.

FISCAL DISCIPLINE & TRANSPARENCY

Conservatives don’t govern by surprise amendments and closed-door deals.

I believe in:

  • Responsible budgeting

  • Transparent legislative process

  • Letting the public be heard before taxes are raised

Montanans deserve honesty and accountability from their government — not last-minute deals that raise costs on families.

TAX POLICY & COST OF LIVING

Uncompetitive property taxes on energy infrastructure raise the cost of:

  • Power

  • Fuel

  • Housing and rent

Those costs are passed directly to consumers. I will fight for fair, competitive tax policy that keeps Montana affordable and attracts investment, jobs, and long-term economic growth.

JOBS, ENERGY & ECONOMIC GROWTH

Montana should compete — and win — for energy development, power generation, data centers, and industrial projects.

That means:

  • Tax policy that works

  • Regulatory certainty

  • Leadership that understands how capital actually moves

When Montana is competitive, families benefit through better jobs and stronger communities.

CONSERVATIVE VALUES

I am pro-life and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.

I believe:

  • Life is sacred

  • Law-abiding Montanans have the right to protect themselves and their families

  • Government should be limited, accountable, and close to the people

I also support election integrity, protecting women’s sports, and standing up for Montana’s values without apology.

LEADERSHIP THAT DELIVERS

This campaign isn’t about noise or headlines. It’s about restoring conservative leadership that delivers results.

I’m running to:

  • Stop bad tax policy

  • Lower the cost of living

  • Protect Montana values

  • Bring discipline and accountability back to the Legislature

Montana needs leaders who will do the work — not look the other way.

Montana works best when government is honest, disciplined, and accountable to the people it serves. I’d be honored to earn your support — and your vote.
